Manuela is director of project management at Applied Information Group, delivering complex projects with an unflappable, can-do approach. Prior to joining AIG, Manuela worked in a variety of disciplines in the design industry: for architect and furniture designer Ron Arad, and implementing a large scale brand identity across Europe for cross-media group PLEX, among others. As account director at Figtree, she brought her problem-solving and communication skills to the field of strategy and branding – but ultimately it was her talent for design implementation that brought her to AIG, where she runs the Legible London project team as well as overseeing the overall project management function that's so important in a company delivering innovation in the public realm. Manuela's focus is on achieving the best possible solution, pushing boundaries where necessary to make informed and inspired decisions.
Manuela developed her taste for the design industry 20 years ago when, as drummer in the indie band Xmal Deutschland she started working closely with designer Vaughan Oliver and record company 4AD to develop effective and sensual record sleeve designs. This laid the foundation for her passion, attention to detail and strong belief that teamwork will get the best out of people.
