Malcolm Garrett is a creative director at Applied Information Group. He made his mark as founder of Assorted Images, working with Buzzcocks, Duran Duran, Culture Club and Simple Minds. His early collaborations with Peter Gabriel, and with interactive media pioneers Cogapp, fuelled an enduring passion for interactive design, which he explored with blue chip clients such as Barclays and Hewlett Packard, and cultural institutions from the Science Museum to Museum of Modern Art, New York. He recently designed ‘Icons – a portrait of England’ for Cogapp and Culture Online, and is creative director of dynamolondon.org. Malcolm is also a Royal Designer for Industry.
His focus is on making information accessible and engaging, with Dublin Bus and the Helen Hamlyn Trust’s schools programme, Open Futures, recent beneficiaries.
