AIG to help central London finds its way

16-11-2004

AIG have been appointed to work with Central London Partnership (CLP) on a wayfinding and signing study for central London. AIG’s bid was selected in a two stage process involving submissions and interviews.

CLP’s Transport Director Mem Baybars said, “AIG’s excellent track record, particularly their work with Bristol, was clear from their proposal and presentation, and we are looking forward to working with them. Through this work CLP will continue to deliver positive change for the walking agenda in central London, reflecting a growing consensus over the benefits of walking amongst authorities and local business.” Such benefits include both economic and public health factors.

The study will include an assessment of central London’s current schemes and thinking to identify the challenges facing citizens, visitors and business people who might choose to walk. The study will outline the options for a consistent approach to wayfinding in central London.

Tim Fendley, Creative Director of AIG commented, “We are delighted to be chosen to develop this initiative. We look forward to being extremely creative in our concept development while at the same time being pragmatic about meeting the interests of pedestrians, local authorities and local business.”
